See the largest cluster of privately owned traditional Korean wooden homes when you visit Bukchon Village. While you’re in the neighborhood, stroll its dark-tiled alleys and pop in to art galleries, restaurants, and cafes. Also popular  with visitors is Itaewon, a lively neighborhood located near the main U.S. Army base. Here, you’ll find charming boutiques, bars, clubs, and restaurants.

Seoul is home to more than a hundred different museums, including the War Memorial, and the Seoul Museum of Art. One of the best ways to sightsee in Seoul is by bus. If it’s serenity you seek, a trip to the Chenoggyecheon stream is one of your best bets. During a walking tour, you’ll spot beautiful waterfalls and nearly two dozen overhead bridges. Or, climb Bugaksan Mountain for some of the best views in the city.
