Pualani Elite Qualifications
How do you become an Elite member? Between January 1st and December 31st of the same year, meet the miles /segment qualifications and enjoy your Elite membership for the remainder of that year and the next year.

Elite membership is based on Elite-qualifying flight segments and flight miles earned during the calendar year (Jan 1 – Dec 31). Members that qualify will receive full benefits for the remainder of the current year and the following year.
Elite-qualifying flight segments and flight mileage are earned based on flights scheduled and operated by Hawaiian Airlines. Segments and miles earned on charter flights, partner airlines, HawaiianMiles partners, bonus miles, or miles earned through the Hawaiian Airlines World Elite MasterCard do not count towards Pualani Elite status. HawaiianMiles are not awarded for travel on Flight Awards and therefore, these segments and miles are not Elite-qualifying.
When Can You Start?
If you’ve just met the qualifying levels for Pualani Platinum or Gold membership, congratulations! Your Elite status is activated within about 48 hours after the miles are posted to your account. Enjoy the rewards for the rest of the current year and throughout the next year. If you qualify on December 31st, then your Elite status will only be valid for the following year.

Member is allowed two (2) guests, and they must be traveling on the same flight.
For priority boarding at Honolulu airport, member must present Elite membership card at the TSA checkpoint. First/Business Class check-in line is also available at Honolulu airport.
Premier Club lounges are available in Honolulu, Hilo, Kona, Kahului, Lihue, and Los Angeles (HNL/ITO/KOA/OGG/LIH/LAX).
2Complimentary Extra Comfort/Preferred Seats Upgrades - Effective August 1, 2014
North America & International Flights
Pualani Platinum and Pualani Gold members can enjoy complimentary seat upgrades to Extra Comfort and Preferred Seats on all Hawaiian Airlines-operated flights to/from North America and International destinations. This benefit is applicable to the Elite member only and is subject to seat availability. Be sure your HawaiianMiles number is present in your reservations, or added prior to completing the check-in process. When checking in for your flight via web/airport kiosk/mobile (24 hours prior to departure), you may add yourself to the standby list for the seat upgrade.
If you opt to be listed while checking in via the web, airport kiosk or mobile application, and already have a seat assignment for your existing Coach ticket, our systems will automatically assign you a seat in Extra Comfort/Preferred Seat. This seat will be based on a like-for-like seating, subject to seat availability. For example, if you have an existing aisle seat in Coach, our systems will look for an aisle seat within Extra Comfort/Preferred Seat. If one is not available, the system will look for the next best available seat, which may be a window or a middle seat. Seating assignments occur at the departure gate once the check-in window closes. You will be notified by the gate agent if your upgrade is confirmed and you will be issued a new boarding pass. At that time, your original seat assignment is released back into our systems and may be assigned to another guest.
Seat assignments are automatically handled by our systems. Due to seat availability, please be aware that your new seat assignment may be a middle seat in Extra Comfort/Preferred Seat. Once the new upgraded seat is confirmed, we are unable to cancel the request and put you back in your original Coach seat. This may impact your decision to take advantage of the complimentary upgrade, if you have a specific seat type preference or if you are traveling with others in your party and want to be seated together.
You may also visit an airport customer service agent at the check-in counter or at the customer service podium and request to be listed for a complimentary Extra Comfort or Preferred Seat.
Seating will be assigned by priority of status (Pualani Platinum before Pualani Gold), and then on a first-come, first-served basis. Revenue tickets (all Coach fare classes) and flight award tickets are eligible for the complimentary seat upgrade, subject to availability.
Based on availability and priority of Elite status (Platinum, then Gold) on a first-come, first-served basis. Preferred Seats on a 767 aircraft are designated as the Exit row and on the A330 the Exit and Bulkhead rows. Members must advise the check-in counter agent or the Customer Service agent at the podium in the departure gate area in order to be listed for Preferred Seat assignment. If selected, members must report to the podium when their name is called or forfeit their preferred seat assignment.
Neighbor Island Flights
If a First Class seat upgrade is not available, Pualani Platinum members will be offered a complimentary Preferred Seat on all Hawaiian Airlines-operated flights to the Neighbor Islands. This upgrade is subject to seat availability and applicable to the Elite member only. Be sure your HawaiianMiles number is present in your reservations, or added prior to completing the check-in process. You will be offered the confirmed First Class or Preferred Seat when checking in for your flight via web, kiosk or mobile application 24 hours prior to departure. This benefit is on a first-come, first-served basis. You may also request a seat with an Airport Customer Service agent.
Pualani Gold members may stand-by for a complimentary upgrade to a Preferred Seat on Hawaiian Airlines-operated flights to the Neighbor Islands. This upgrade is subject to seat availability and applicable to the Elite member only. Be sure your HawaiianMiles number is present in your reservations, or added prior to completing the check-in process. When checking in for your flight, you may add yourself to the standby list for the seat upgrade with an airport customer service agent. Seating will be assigned by priority of status (Pualani Platinum before Pualani Gold), and then on a first-come, first-served basis.
Revenue tickets (all Coach revenue fares) and flight award tickets are eligible for the complimentary seat upgrade, subject to seat availability.

Elite Membership Card
As a Pualani Elite member, you will receive a membership card and two personalized luggage tags. If you do not receive your Elite membership card and luggage tags within 2-3 weeks after your Elite qualifying flight, please call the HawaiianMiles Service Center for further assistance.
Lost your membership card?
Simply call the HawaiianMiles Service Center to request a replacement card for a $10 USD fee.

Terms & Conditions
Lost, stolen or damaged cards may be replaced for a fee. Members requiring a name change may purchase a replacement card and/or tag for a fee and are subject to the Terms and Conditions of the HawaiianMiles program. Hawaiian Airlines is not responsible for any correspondence lost or damaged in the mail.
Personal Luggage Tags
Your Elite membership card comes with two personalized Hawaiian Airlines logo luggage tags. If you do not receive your Elite personalized luggage tags with your membership card within 2-3 weeks after your Elite qualifying flight, please call the Hawaiian Miles Sercive Center for further assistance.
Lost your luggage tags or just want extras? Call the HawaiianMiles Service Center and request a set of two (2) replacement luggage tags for a $6.50 USD fee.
