The Department of Homeland Security is there to do just that: keep the U.S. safe. So if your name is similar to that of someone on a government watch list, and you’ve had to see a Hawaiian Airlines airport customer service agent to be cleared for a boarding pass on multiple occasions, you may want to consider applying for a Redress Number.
How do I apply for a redress number?
If you’ve ever been delayed or even denied boarding during airport security screening because a TSA agent
- Phoned someone to check your info,
- Said your info was incorrect,
- Told you the fingerprints or photo on your ID did not match your name, or
- Said you were on a no-fly list
Then applying for a redress number may be something you’d want to look into. This unique identifier will allow you to avoid repeated vetting and additional scrutiny at the airport.
To apply, visit the Traveler Redress Inquiry Program (TRIP).
